Default Refinished Shooting Stars for my Pre-27

As I bought them for $25 from an online auction:


As they are now:



Procedure included chemical stripping, sanding with superfine sandpaper, and many light coats of Tru-Oil with superfine sanding in between.

Very nice.

I like dampened denim with Bon Ami worked into it for finishing between coats of oil. I don't use that for the final rub down, however, just dry denim.

Edit: I just looked up the product and have noticed they changed the ingredients slightly. I've not used it since they did that, so ...
