It took me awhile to figure out how to attach a picture, but here they are.

Educated guess (from working in gun shops and gun shows) -
Python - $1500 - $1800 - depends upon running into the right person/collector.
1911 type pistol - 9x23mm is an obscure chambering, but ammo is still available and costly - $1200 - $1300 - again to a collector.
The wider the the exposure the more chance of getting the best value.

While i agree the python is worth around 1500 The 9X23 isn't worth as much. Check *********(an auction sight) in the last 90 days there are probably 15-20 of them that have been sold NIB and they average high $600's low $700's. While they are rare they haven't built up a following yet the same gun in .45 or .38super is worth much much more. I would say you have $2000-$2300 worth between them both. Of coarse that doesn't take into account what some people are willing to pay sometime.

I stand corrected - dragman's info is valid on the NIB 9x23. I checked ********* - 15 listings over the past 90 days: one gun offered 6 times with asking price dropping from $1250 to $900; another listed 4 times with asking price dropping from $1200 to $1000 and 3 others listed at $999. No takers for any of them. So looks like the ACTUAL real time value of that piece is less than $900.

9x23....is that a longer case length than the standard 9mm? Kinda like the 9mm Largo?

It's a Winchester developed SUPER 9mm - kinda like the 9mm Magnum. The casing is 23mm long whereas the 9mm Parabellum/Luger is 19mm and the 9mm Largo is 21mm. The 23 with 115 gr bullet gives muzzle velocities close to that of the .357 magnum 125 gr., 1450 fps. The other two, 19 and 21, have roughly comparable velocities with 115 gr bullets at around 1150 fps.

I personally love the 9X25 dillon. gott love anything that can produce that kinda KE.

Hey drag -
How about some ballistics on the 9x25 dillon? I've never heard of it? Wildcat? Guns chambered for it?

I have a conversion barrel for it in one of my glocks. I don't konw that anyone is chambering anything in it factory though. Yes it is considered a wildcat cartrage.

Double tapp makes ammo for it:
80 grain barnes 2120fps
95 grain JHP 1995fps
I have found there ammo to be very close to what they rate it at. The nice thing is if you own a glock 20 you only need a barrel the recoil spring and mags for a 10mm are the same since the 9X25 dillon is a 10mm necked down to a 9. Kinda like a 357 sig on steroids.
