Default A makeover for Bertha

Let me introduce you to Bertha. She is short, round, fat, loud, and always lets you know she around:

Now, Bertha has been one of my favorite wheelies for some time, but she has, or had, some flaws. Her bark with hot loads was a bear for the web of my hand and I thinking I was macho enough for her refused to abandon her wooden clogs. Well, I finally conceded and bought her some nice rubber sole shoes. She also had an adjustable sight and being just like a good woman, not wanting a man to tell her what to do, she would change where she was adjusted to of her own volition. I think it was payback for all the heavy recoiling loads I feed her. So, I bought her a new hat made by C&S; she wears it well :

With the new rear sight it groups low, so I had to compensate. Here is a group at 10 yards with 44 mag Fiocchi 240 grain XTP loads. You can see the shots before I compensated for the new rear sight

She's a beauty ! Wood always looks nicer, but I sure do like my Hogues; so much easier to handle. At 10yrds, that's not one girl I'd like to kiss though !!

Nice changes you made there. Yup, wood is real pretty for pictures but it's much nicer to shoot with rubber grips. Never really understood the need for adjustable sights on short barreled guns and I like your choice of replacements...

Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take an ass whoopin'.....author unknown (but obviously brilliant)

Nice but I think she would be a handful for anyone.

Wow what a muzzle flash. There is no hiding once that baby is fired.
