You'll have to Google this in order to find it. We don't allow links to certain auction-based gun sales sites here.

Searching "1911 Master Engraved Colt 100th Anniv. Edition" brought it up as the first result for me.

Different strokes, I reckon - I could buy a lot of firepower for $45K and wouldn't have to worry about shootin' 'em! LOL

Ya, I confess, I bought it.
Dropped it on the asphalt gettin' out of
the pickup at the range, shot about 700rnds
of cheap dirty ammo thru it.
I probably should clean it someday.
I'm thinkin' of gettin' a bluing kit and doin' it at home.
I think I'm using too coarse of sandpaper on it though......

I think Frank Brownell might own this. I was talking to him the other day, and he said he bought the 100th Anniversay Colt pistol in an auction. I have no reason to disbelieve him.
Nice gun. George Spring is a fantastic engraver. The workmanship is as good as it gets.

Roughly $44k more than it's worth.

Mack: Shame what this town's come to.
Charley Waite: You could do something about it.
Mack: What? We're freighters. Ralph here's a shopkeeper.
Charley Waite: You're men, ain't you?
Mack: I didn't raise my boys just to see 'em killed.
Charley Waite: Well you may not know this, but there's things that gnaw at a man worse than dying.
