We miss Ron a lot. The two years he spent here were great. He was a lot of help to me and he kept everyone entertained. He and one of the sheriff deputies stayed at each other all the time. Ron came home one day and his trailer was wrapped in crime scene tape. Ron went to the bank and fell down on the floor and stuck his hands and legs up in the air and told everyone in the bank he was a dead armadillo. He was a nutcase

Bob, Ron emailed me the picture of the "crime scene" and I laughed all day. I wrote him back that it served him right for all the Potted Meat meals he posted.

He neglected to tell me about the "bank caper".

That had to be funny.

I remember you posted pictures of that "crime scene". That was funny!

It has taken me a while to compose my thoughts about Ron. I called him friend, and he called me friend. I broke bread with him, and his wife Carla, who was the light of his life. We talked via email, chat rooms, and on the phone. While I knew his health was not as good as it should have been, the news of his passing came as a shock.

He was a good man, husband, father, and friend. And with few exceptions, I doubt if he ever met anyone who didn't like him. I will miss him. I would have gone to war with him.

Rest in peace, friend Ron.

He truly is missed, but it's good to see you on here, Crash.

Take care, Bro.

Ron was a character fro sure! He came to my house, along with Southern Moss and Marlin, and visited my wife and I for a weekend. We had a great time together.

Scared the crap out of me with his driving! Rode the very edge of sheer drops on my side of the truck to see how I would handle it. If I had not had a seat belt on, I probably would have crawled in his lap!

Also, the ear candles routine he and my wife got into was hilarious!

That was a great weekend, Tuck, and one I will always remember. Even a power outage couldn't spoil our fun!

Good to see you again.

It is always sad when someone we may know or respect passes. I did not know him but followed his posts. His intelligence will be missed.

My prayerg ot his family.... I have always found this comforting..

God saw you were getting tired
And it was not meant to be,
So he put his arms around you
And whispered,''come to me''.
With tearful eyes we watched you
And saw you pass away,
Although we loved you dearly
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best
