This murders details were reported this weekend on the Austin report that the girl had been raped, tortured, strangled and her head bashed with a large piece of pavement that was still lying on her arm. The large stick was reported to be protruding from her vagina. Now we are told here that his rights were not upheld. I love being a true Texan and believe that we will take care of this on Thursday. The Drudge Report today has this answer from Governor Perry concerning all of the stay requests,
"Perry's office has said Texas laws had been abided by and that Leal would be executed for "the most heinous of crimes"."

On the heels of the Casey Anthony verdict, that is far and away the best news I've heard all day.

And although everyone has a right to their day in court, I have to wonder what kind of subhuman trash would work on this vermin's appeals.

The Mexican Consolate should be brought in only to view the execution, then given a video of it to be taken home to show how it's handled here.

And Texas was right to feel that way. I, for one, believe that secession is a state's right. I don't know about everybody else, but I read the Declaration of Independence, which was pretty much our ideology as why we became the United States of America. In it, it said that when a government does not act within the best interests of its citizens, and destroys their God-given rights, whomever your God may be, it is the right and the duty of citizens to "break the bonds" of government and rebuild it.

I find it hypocritical to say that a state does not have a right to leave the Union because that's how we became a country was by declaring our independence.

I don't know if it's that bad yet. I wasn't alive during the Civil Rights days, but during the 1950s, some of those states down south were very angry about the Federal government sending the National Guard to force integration. That was a different day and age, and I think we can all agree that segregation was not a good idea. And I think many likely considered secession.

I can't even begin to describe how terrible I feel for that girl's parents or anybody else that was close to her.

I have a sister and if someone did something like this to her, the only thing that would be on my mind is vengeance.

I understand your sentiment, but my thinking is... JUSTICE.

Not revenge. Revenge can be subject to emotion. Justice is cold, calculated and equal.

Revenge is a bullet in the forehead.

Justice is 20 hours spent like the victim spent them. (or whatever the case might be)

Good as we can be, ALeader, holding firm for God and country in Illinois.

As for revenge vs. justice, we got a perfect piece of insight into the liberal mind yesterday, when Baez spoke after the Anthony trial. He said murder is murder, no matter who commits it, and a civilized society doesn't murder its citizens. (words to that effect)

A clear case of someone, in this case an attorney, being unable to distinguish between justice and murder. Murder is a crime. Execution is justice imposed by the state.

Ahhh, the heavy burden of rational thought carried by us conservatives...

In reference to the map in post #24
Combine the yellow and blue, add KY,Tenn, WV. Plus parts of NC, SC, VA, Maybe western parts of NY and PA. A natural boundary along the Appalachains.
Draw the line on the CA border, split WA and OR down the middle, (another natural mountain boundary). Add them to the central states along with ID, NV, UT & AZ. Might be a prolonged battle w Russia for AK. Hawaii will probably go with California. No reason to mess with the Canadian and Mexican borders unless they oppose us. Then we'll advance until we again have border security. What do the Russians know?

There are very strong groups in the US right now who think that "reconquista" is the way to go. They want everything west of LA all the way North to Washington as repatriated to Mexico, since they lost it in the war.

And while you're laughing, keep in mind that the vice governor, Cruz Bustamonte is a very vocal supporter of exactly these ideals, and then while you're discounting him, please keep in mind that CA has 3 of the top 10 ports in the entire country, and that most of our military's RO/RO capability as an entire nation exists at a single one of them... and then while you're trying to keep all of that in mind, please look at real numbers like the amount of deficit Sanctuary cities like L.A. and S.F. and how fast they are driving the entire state into bankruptcy

And it's all coming to a gov't near you...

Like I said before, you guys need to pay a LOT MORE attention to what is happening here in CA. People like me are a small voice, but, you better believe that if it's not stopped here, it will be on your doorstep.

"Texas, Our Texas" (The Texas State Song)

Texas, Our Texas! all hail the mighty State!
Texas, Our Texas! so wonderful so great!
Boldest and grandest, withstanding ev'ry test
O Empire wide and glorious, you stand supremely blest.
(chorus)

Texas, O Texas! your freeborn single star,
Sends out its radiance to nations near and far,
Emblem of Freedom! it set our hearts aglow,
With thoughts of San Jacinto and glorious Alamo.
(chorus)

Texas, dear Texas! from tyrant grip now free,
Shines forth in splendor, your star of destiny!
Mother of heroes, we come your children true,
Proclaiming our allegiance, our faith, our love for you.

Chorus

God bless you Texas! And keep you brave and strong,
That you may grow in power and worth, throughout the ages long.
God bless you Texas! And keep you brave and strong,
That you may grow in power and worth, throughout the ages long.

Governor Perry, you just got my vote for President. And Obama and the U.N., you can pucker up.

He was executed Thursday night. I wonder how the great O would have felt if it would have been one of his daughters. I say Texas did the right thing.

lets not forget that their entire argument was that he never had access to his Mexican consulates office, even though he'd been brought here illegally as a two year old.

They are citing a UN treaty? really? hmmm let me think about that for a second....

Not only did the guy have his day in court, he had endless appeals and motions put before the court system.

I'm glad he said "Viva Mexico" as his dying statement... you know why? because maybe that will wake some people up!!!

Have you ever watched Carlos Mencia? A great comedian, hispanic, married to an anglo woman, he doesnt pull any punches, he can bring it to the point right on his own show very easily...

take a white person at random out of the audience... "wheres your family from?" answer "france" or (insert other country)... "Okay, say F*** France!" and they will... take a latino out of his same audience... where is your family from? "Mexico"... "Okay, say F*** Mexico"... they wont do it.

THEY WILL NOT DO IT.
THEY LEFT THERE, TO COME HERE...

but they still identify as Mexicans. They know Mexico is a world of crap in a bucket, but they will not admit they left there to come here, and would rather vote in their way of government here than stay in their home land and fight against corruption and lawless cartels.

And we have a political party hell bent on nationalizing all of them, and adopting anything the UN says we should.

And the greatest country on earth is now being handed to a generation of future slaves. Sorry kids, we screwed up, better luck next time! Good luck with that whole runaway debt thing... our bad!
