Default Query. Win highwall action

After a Winchester highwall action are they hard to find up there?
down here in Australia they are as rare as hens teeth.

Just out of curiosity, what do you guys pay for a decent (all correct numbers etc) SMLE

Hello swanshot,

Not exactly sure where you are referring to when you say "up there" , but here in the States, original high-wall actions (and even complete rifles) are not exactly a dime-a-dozen... or inexpensive.

I just bought a decent high-wall chambered for 40-70 Ballard, and it was a really good deal at only $2025.00. A good friend of mine recently bought a real early thick-frame with the octagon shaped receiver ring and he paid $750.00 for it (it was the only frame either one of us found at the entire show (Big Reno gun show last month).

Regards,
Bert
