It is only silly if you out shoot them I admit I have taken my modified S20 to the range. I usually prefer the open desert and my own launcher but sometimes I hit the commercial ranges.

Nothing against synthetic stock guns, or pumps, or short barrels, but it was weird seeing a pistol grip tactical shotgun at the range.

For all you who have been run out of the woods by a crazed AR shooter emptying his 30 rnd mag at a deer, I'd like to know what state you live in that allows hunters to use 30 rnd mags? I'm pretty sure that in all the states around me you cant even have a mag on your person while hunting that is physically capable of holding more than 5 rnds.

okie

Utah has no restriction on Magazine size for big game hunting.

LA has no limit on mags either. Now federal law is different, if you are hunting migratory birds there is a limit on the number of shells that you can carry in your gun.

So far as I know there is no mention of magazine limit in TX either. IF there were, Id think it would be illegal to carry a sidearm, heck even most revolvers hold 6 rounds and you can legally hunt deer with anything that isnt rimfire here in TX. I dont condone hunting deer with a 30 rounder stufft in your weapon, if you cant kill it with 1 or 2 you neednt be hunting IMO. But think about it. the Win 94 30-30 holds 8 if you pipe it before topping the mag off..

It is a good bunny gun. I have swept lots of them up out of the pasture with it. One time I forgot it was loaded with 00 buck and I hit a bunny running toward me at about 15 yds. He was mush..

Like anything produced because of government contracts, the deciding factor in what gets bought is, "Who can come in with the lowest bid?".

JLA, those pics made me start priceing 870's (damn you ).

I feel for you guys that have no better state regualations than that. I think the capacity limit in OK is 7 and if I remember right its 5 in AR. The fines for not adhearing to any hunting regs is just too stiff to ignore. I've helped get several poachers busted on our place in the last 15 yrs and I believe in every case they lost all firearms in the vehicle and got a very stiff fine.

That is a 225 dollar walmart special okie. I cut the barrel back to 19.75" (first full rib past the 18" minimum) and put a birdbuster magnetic firesight on it, I had to shorten the fore stock to clear the sidesaddle, but other than that its bone stock.. All the money is in accessories, which total about 350 bucks including the price of the shotgun.
