I just bought a 1953 production CZ 52. (I love my C&R license more every day
) . It has a V serial number prefix with rid after the serial number. Is this "V" a factory code or simply part of the serial number?

It only has crossed swords with 53 over them on the right side. There is a Z on the left side of the trigger guard right next to the grip that I assume is an armorer code.
