One of the reasons I bought my M57 was the powerful 7.62x25 caliber. I have a couple other 9mm guns that probably are better for home defense as the Tok may over penetrate ( but thats an advantage some times ). I don't know of any sight upgrades yet, I adjusted my rear sight and painted a white spot on the front but they are still not great sights. Accurate but not easy to aquire the target.

You made a peep sight! Cool but super glue gets brittle and I think it will fall off with a few shots but then what do I know.
I was thinking about just widening the rear sight notch to give a larger field of view and make target aquisition a bit easier. If I do i will report back on the results.

Search on line Wayne if I posted the Place I bought it from the Mods would change it ,,as they did when I posted where I bought some ammo from,,which i find strange ,,you can also find a muzzle brake for both the 7.62 and the 9MM which even if it doesn,t help recoil it gives the Gun a Coolness Factor

Found some cheap (sort of) ammo. Some polish for about $11 for 70 rounds but it is corrosive and tends to shred the brass cases, has an average of 1400 FPS.
I think I will pass! I would rather pay $18 t0 $20 for some more modern non corrosive stuff that does not have a 20% failure rate.
I LUV my M57 and do not want to feed it some crappy food
I did purchase a 9mm barrel for it just cause it was cheap, haven't got it yet as well as the beautiful Marchal grips I ordered about 6 weeks ago.

Hi Steve, I feel stupid cause I don't get it??
Anyway I got my 9mm barrel and I ordered a compensator for my barrel bushing. The ones offered were for larger measurements than my barrels both the original and the 9mm. Sooo.. I ordered the one for the 7.62 and plan to ream it out a tiny bit to fit the 9mm which is not much bigger than the 7.62.
I'll let you all know how it goes.
I also ordered some 9mm ammo from USAMMO one of the forum sponsers. I am getting some 115 grain JHP. They did not have any 7.62x25. I have ordered some from Reeds ammo but it has been a couple months so I have kinda given up on them and my Marchal grips.

GOT MY MARCHAL grips today and they are awsome!! well worth the wait. Mine are the wrap around ( rear not front) walnut checkered with star and oil finish. As soon as I can figure out how to do pics I will. These grips I think will improve my already good groups as they are much more comfortable in my hand.
The grips are so precise it is like they had my pistol there and fitted them custom! Obviously the M57's are very precise.
I also got my 9mm barrel and the compensator but was very disapointed. I will do a more detailed post about that experience if any one really cares.

I did get the compensator, muzzle brake and reamed it out for the 9mm barrel. Strange things happenned. I am used to my empty cases landing in the adjacent county but they were now landing about three feet to my right??? I had my first FTF with the TOK and it was with the 9mm . I was using the stock magazine. In short I did not like the 9mm setup and put my gun back the way it was supposed to be. I will be selling the compensator and barrel.

I'll get some pics up soon of the Marchall grips which were worth the $87 and the wait

Hey FF, I really enjoyed the experience with the 9mm and the compensator. The barrel looks really good but it scared me a little. My gun would not hand cycle with that barrel unless I really pulled hard or whacked the front down on the table. It would not unlock the barrel but would function when I fired it. I just got nervous. One of my friends has one that I got for him, it is newer and I may try the stuff out on his so I won't damage mine
I enjoy working on the guns as much as shooting them. I was a MX rider and also enjoyed perfecting the bikes as well as trying to win races.

It does look great but it also feels much better. About the only thing I did not like about my TOK was the grips and then it was not that bad. Buuttt these are so comfortable and to me still retains a nostalgic military look. That is why I went with the star.
I will get some pice with the compensator soon, it does look "BAD" and with the 7.65 it does seem to lessen the recoil a bit. Could be all in my head!

The only minor problem I have with the grips is that the spring steel mounts were not designed to hold large grips tightly against the frame, especially at the top. You may notice a little space between the two grip panels at the rear near the top. It is not bad but I can squeeze them tighter and they fit perfectly.
Again it is hardly noticable and doesent really bother me.

Marchal makes the grips after they get the order and then they have to do the finish and let it cure. I chose the oil finish but they offer many choices of wood types and finishes. Also these came from Budapest Hungary via USPS so that takes some extra time also. I have not fired the Tok with the new grips yet but I will this afternoon to see how much better it feels.
