With the A1 buttstock being 5/8 inch shorter than the now current A2 version will the buffer, buffer tube, buffer spring, spacer and vented screw found in the A2 work? Can the A2 items be modified? It took me awhile to find the A1 buttstock and it came stripped. If I need some A1 specific parts - any recommendations for sources for things like buffer tubes, springs...etc, would be appreciated. The buffer tube/spring is different between the CAR and standard rifle. There are some A1 specific screws, available from Fulton Armory or DPMS. I guess the quest for parts goes on. Thanks also for the tip on Fulton Armory and DPMS - I'll check them out.
