Revolvers? Who carries a revolver anymore? Well, I do, quite a bit of the time. Here's a few of the ones I carry the most:

Good move, them PK380's are troublesome. It was only a matter of a few rounds before the safety split in two and fell off the gun.

![]() Dan Wesson M15 w/4" barrel. This is a 50 ft smallbore target shot double action at 25 yards using 130 gr 38 spcl. For Social work it's loaded with 38 spcl 158 gr LSWC or .357 158 gr SJSP. It's old but good and the target grips on it fit my fist perfectly. Dinosaur gun for a dinosaur.

That looks like it might be a six inch group, and at 50' that's impressive!

For concealed carry with a revolver, like several others, a Ruger SP101, 3 in., 357 mag. Short barrel, low flash 135 gr ammo. Carried in a Simply Rugged. A bit heavy, but it works. That aside, I prefer an autoloader for CC.

I'd been carrying a Ruger 2.25", .357 magnum, SP101, for the last 8 years or so. Before that I carried an old 1991A1 Colt Commander in .45 acp. It got too heavy. So, I went to the Ruger, .357, SP101.
About 6 or 8 months ago I picked up a Ruger .38 Special, LCR, for a pocket gun, once in a while. And then I had to get a .357 magnum LCR to go with it. I discovered they each fit in the same OSW, strong side Galco pancake holster as I'd been using for the SP101. So, now my EDC is the Ruger .357 magnum LCR. It's a lot lighter to carry around all day, under an untucked shirt. Too heavy in my pocket, though. When I have to dress up & tuck my shirts the .38 special LCR fits my pocket, just fine.

My Rossi 461/462's are a little bulky compared to a J-frame or Taurus 85, but they are about the smallest revolvers I can shoot accurately. Still thinking that the M327 Magnum might work if I can keep the screws from vibrating out from the recoil.

SW 642 with crimson trace - one of the best dam 38 snubbies ever made IMO.

Currently I carry a S&W 36 in a Mika pocket holster. It hides well in my shorts pocket. I plan to replace it next year w/ a S&W 340PD (Scandium .357 mag w/ .38+P ammo).
For winter wear, am hoping to get a Rohrbaugh.

I think you will find that the .44, and the .45 are just about the most accurate hand gun rounds out there. It's just one of those things that come together well.
