Three Old Guys at the range today with three new Glock 19's, two Gen 3's and one Gen 4.
Three old guys that have been friends since grade school gathered at the range today to shoot their Glock 19's. I got mine this spring, Jim got his a few weeks ago and Roger just picked his up last week. All three of us had gotten our CCW's with in the last year. Jim and Roger both plan to carry their Glocks but I'm a hold out and still insist on a revolver (Ruger LCR) for carry. We shot a mix of factory Rem and CCI 115gr or 124gr ammo along with some of my reloads, 124gr. Rem. FMJ over 4.2grs. of Win. 231. The guns performed flawlessly. We gabbed a lot, told some "do you remember" stories, banged some steel plates and shot some paper silhouettes. We finished the day with all three of us each shooting ten rounds at the same silhouette from about 10 yards off hand but seated. It was not safe for the silhouettes but you did have to watch for hot flying brass. Does it get much better than a day like this?

Oustanding!!
Todd, I can't help but think that your property and range would be an ideal locale for a TFF Midwestern Gathering/BBQ/Shootin' Day!

AL, as I told Juker, it would be neat but I am just not physically up to hosting such an event, sorry. Three trips to the operating room this year has really slowed me down.

Sweet! Very cool. Nice choice in firearm too, despite what JLA says.

Just maybe too much of a good thing. My butt is dragging after today. Skip had asked to go to the range today to try out his new to him Winchester Model 62. Well I hadn't recovered from yesterday but how can you resist another day at the range and with just Skip and I well I can just sit around and watch right. Well when we got to the range my cousin, along with Bob and Jim were waiting on us and had started setting up the range. So much for an easy day. Turned out to be one of the best days shared with friends.
Skips Model 62 is sweet, what can you say about one Winchester's classic .22 rim fire rifles. It shoots as good as it looks. As you can see from the guns spread on the table we shot a lot more than that little rifle. A Daddy Long Legs had the nerve to crawl on to a silhouette target set up at the 50' range and I called to Jim to get his Win. Wildcat .22lr. Aha, one shot one kill as they say. No more Daddy. I am really looking forward to bed tonight but guess what? I have to find the strength to go again tomorrow as I am to meet and engineer friend and one of our State Senators at the range tomorrow afternoon for some plinking. Now I can't resist the chance to talk guns with a sitting State Senator can I? But if any of you want to go shoot on Saturday I will give you the combination to the lock because I may just sleep all day long.

That dont make you a bad person, Todd. LOL
I cant sleep that late anymore. Getting up at 5 is pretty well a habit now. Plus it's deer season, so I'm off to the woods any time I am not at work.
