Default Re: 1895 nagant revolver???

I just finished loading some 7.62 nagant rounds tonight....I used this data
http://www.hodgdon.com/PDF/Trail-Boss-data.pdf
I found that 70% case capacity with full length nagant brass (not 32-20) was 2.7 gn of trail boss and 80% was 3.0 gn, I'll report back once I have given them a try. I use the 98 gn plated DEWC from grafs.com and the brass is from buffaloarms.com (headstamp says 7.62 Nagant G.F.L.)

Reloading data is pretty scarce for these.
Actually, I once hear that it only added about 20% more velocity (or pressure) compared to the comparable .32L. Other then the silencer part, this is where Russian roulette comes from. (since the round is almost completely hidden)

The 7.62x38r loads make a much louder pop than the 32 smith longs which don't have the gas seal. The tokarev 1927 was in this caliber too.
