Heard a news blip on a local radio station the other day. The reporter was talking about that sat that came down not long ago and stated that not a day goes by that some piece of space junk, be it large or small, falls from space. Some makes it through the re-entry, some doesn't.

That movie was about an alien microbe that hitched a ride to earth on a falling satellite and wiped out a small town..... when the gov't guys arrived in town wearing their hazmat suits, they found one old codger still walking around, high on some kind of jungle juice he called "squeeze"..... made him immune, somehow.

I don't remember if the book and the movie (either one) were the same in that regard, but I think the old guy had been drinking Sterno. The nasty part was the microbe "ate" plastic and rubber products, so all of the seals on face masks, oxygen masks, sealed chambers, containment doors, etc. failed. Ouch.

Has any one died from our space junk? Why don't we use this stuff for target practice "LONG range clay birds" and stop it before it enters the atmosphere.

Wow, that's a spread.
My father had a chance to relocate us "Down Under" when I was a lad. Since I've been on this site and reading about your hunting and land spreads, I'm really wishing he had.
