Default Carry engraved??

I've always wanted an engraved carry gun, but have thought that it would get messed up from holster wear.

Does anyone carry an engraved firearm, and, if so, how does the decoration hold up??

Life is short.
Do what you want.
Get what you want.
Darn the consequences.
You can always get a lined holster.

Doug,
I've carried and Colt SAA Class C engraved off and on for around 15 years or so.
Use a nice lined holster...looks new today.

Since buying the KelTec and Glock I have installed clips on both and really do like the convenience of no holster. With shorts and a T, it's the way to go.

Did notice a small problem with the P11 this week. I shoot every other week, and am pretty good about cleaning all the guns I take, if not that night, at least the next morning.

Saturday a week ago, came home from the range and sat them down on my desk in the river/gun room. Next morning started a big new yard project and flat forgot about the cleaning.

Monday I remembered, now this was nine days later. The P11pk
had rust at least a half-inch in and outside the end of the bbl. No problems prior, but guess the shooting and then stickin' it back in my waistband was too much for it. No serious problem, cleaned up great with the Blue Wonder, but a good lesson...
