G'day and welcome to the forum. where in the US are you as that would help us help you .. myself i like the Pedersoli 12ga. M/L shotgun. they are not expensive, modelled after a 1860's -70's model that was THE model back then and has been hard to improve on , prices range from $100 through to $400 depending on finish, wear and usage ..
this one is a good deal not a traditional shotgun but oft used as one here for fowling ( scrub turkey or mallee fowl) http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/produ...AL%3BIK-217958 |

I see them at the gun shows all the time. I don't know where you live, but this site may help you.

I have a thompson center new englander .50 cal and bought the shotgun barrell for it. They now call it the Encore. I'm sure there are some new englanders around with the shotgun barrell. Here is a link to the encore barrell. Note. I had a game warden come up and tell me I was under arrest for hunting rabbits with a black powder gun. I said "it's a shot gun". He said there ain't no such thing. He called his boss on the radio and gave me back my gun. They are a hoot to shoot, but watch the game laws.
