Had a chance and put 50 rounds through my Henry Goldenboy 17HMR, what a joy to shoot... just saying. Glad I did not sell it!

I have a 22 cal Goldenboy and it is a joy to shoot. A silky smooth action and accurate to boot if your eyes can pick up the sights. I can still see the sights on mine but I do see the day coming when they will become an issue for me. That may be day that it gets handed down to my grand daughter. I have a grandson but he will get one of my other guns when his time comes. Perhaps my Marlin 917 VS. (17HRM)
Good that you like your GB. Happy shooting! |

What I was surprised at was how quickly that barrel heated up, must be because of that muzzle velocity.By the way, like your idea of hand-me-downs, Will be doing the same thing!

The bullet has a muzzle velocity of 2550 feet per second, that accounts for the barrel heating up !
