My uncle gave me his Marlin 60 after it "didn't work". He told me that he never cared to clean it and gave it to me. I cleaned it inside and took it to the range, and still would just go 'click' with no bang. It was around that time I joined this forum to seek help to fix the Marlin, following your guys' instruction, I then took EVERYTHING apart again and got a bunch of sand out from the trigger group... next time at the range, it would fire sooometimes, just randomly, another breakdown, I noticed the firing pin was bent and couldnt even wiggle in its slot, and it didn't protrude out from the bolt to strike the brass rim. So I orderend and replaced that firing pin, and the Marlin Model 60SS has never had a problem since. Feeds clean CCIs as well as dirty old waxy Remingtons... Never thought a rimfire could be so reliable. (After you solve a major problem)
