Default 40 S&W loads

Anyone have any experience/loads for 165gr FMJ bullet with Titegroup? I have other powders but interested in the TG. Thanks

IMO, TG is is about the worst powder one can use in the 40 S&W. It is super fast, burns very hot, has a very narrow safety window and has blown up more pistols than any other powder. Pick something a bit slower that will keep both you and your pistol in tact.

http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp

I only ever used bluedot in the .40s the short time I loaded for it. It wasnt a cartridge of interest for me.

You state titegroup only. Ok I'll break the rules and suggest the following:

Berry's 180 grain Flat Point or Hollow Point plated bullet.
SP Primer
Universal @ 5.0 grains
COAL @ 1.125

I think 5.8 Universal was max load, Hodgden has the exact number, look it up to be sure. I liked the minimum load myself, less recoil and little velocity loss. I shoot it out of a Glock 23.

Expect about 1000 fps
