The shape of things to came? In the UK with the restrictive gun laws the large number of gun enthusiasts still like to collect them, thus the growth of the de activated market. Take a look at this site, there are several but this is a good example. In particular note 'handguns' under the SHOP section, via 'deactivated weapons'. The owner is a friend and nice guy.
www.dwsuk.org As I have said before, I can see and agree with deactivation of old, low value collectables, but some of the deacts do seem a bit of a broken pencil, pointless.

I've seen loads of old shotguns that aren't safe to fire that would make a great wall hanger. Maybe an early series 1903 that had the soft metal would be good too.

Disagree totally. I would have not been able to see that old gun, and the imagination that went into saving it, hopefully, for the grand-kids. It's a first for me, and I think it's pretty slick. +1

It was started today by a new member. Probably looking around, and found something of interest to him / her. Yep, old thread, but the gun's still neat.

and when i joined i dug up some old threads too , whats old news to some is revelation to others , so its a good idea to Judge NOT lest ye be Judged as the good book says ,
if a old thread is of interest to a new comer then the system here is working and thanks for the forum bosses for leaving them to be accessed by one and all old and new .. |
