Default 10/22 sight/sighting Qs

Hey all, I'm new here and to the 10/22. It has a Williams peep on the rear, and what looks like the stock front sight. That sight's brass button is lost. I ordered a Williams Firesight to replace it, not sure if I ordered the right height.
The existing front is .406" from bottom of dovetail to top of sight. It shoots an inch high at 15 yards (longest range available where I was), with the rear peep lowered about 2/3 of the way down. I ordered the next size taller Firesight, .450".
QUESTIONS: 1. At 15 yards, will the extra .044" height bring the prints down about an inch?
2. How will this setup work at 50 and 100 yards?
Any help appreciated.

Here's what I got for a quick calculation. If you raise the front sight .044 inches it will change your point of impact:

15 yards: -1.58 inches
50 yards: -5.28 inches
100 yards: -10.56 inches

Of course this does not take into accout the inherent bullet drop due to the greater distances between 15 and 100 yards.

This is also assuming that your sights are the same distance apart as my 10/22, which is 15 inches.

I suggest replacing the 10/22 stock sights if you have the $ to do so.
Putting something like tech sights on them make for a much better experience.
