Did a little workup today with .223 55 grain Vmax, LC brass, Federal 205M primers and W748 powder.
I am very excited about this combination. I am thinking about putting some 5 shots groups together at 24.9 grains, 25.7 grains, 26 grains and 26.4 grains. What do the rest of you guys think. BTW, all done at 100 yards at an indoor range. The upper left corner is a 4 shot group that was done with a clean-cold bore to dirty up the bore and get it warmed up.. The loads were 25 grains of W748 and I was surprised that right off the bat it was shooting sub moa.

Below are a picture of the brass at the upper end of 26.2 and 26.4 grains of W748. 26.4 is the maximum that Hornady recommends for the 55 Vmax. I don't see any obvious signs of overpressure.
