Does anyone know the who the Real Manufacturer of the J C Higgins Model 377.071 410 pump shotgun was?

They used a variety of manufacturers for their J C Higgins line of fire arms including Savage, Marlin, High Standard and I think your 410 was probably made by H&R. I think they put out contracts or requests to various gun makers with their stipulations which were generally pretty high. Most of their stuff is no frills, reasonably priced and made to last if taken care off.

Sorry but there is no J.C. Higgins 377.071 or a Sears Model 377.071 for that matter, listed in the cross reference listings. There is a Sears Model 377 listed and that crosses to a Mossberg Model 42 which is a .22 caliber rifle. Did you get the numbers correct?

It was actually made by Noble, who also made a version marketed by H&R.

Thanks for the info. I did transpose the model #. The correct # is 377.701.
