Default Unertl scope

I just found a scope for sale on ebay. Marked BV-20

What is the "BV" never saw one of those before?

The BV-20 was Unertl's version of a shorter scope for field applications or target work. Although no longer made, that model is still popular with Unertl fans.

I personally am not a big fan of external adjustment scopes, but to each his own.

That scope on eBay is priced right at value, maybe up to $500.

Since we're talking Unertl - why do people refer to "resetting" a Unertl after shooting each shot? Does it move in its mounts as some form of recoil protection? Never used one myself.

When the gun recoils, the scope slides. It has a spring on it to bring it back to position, but I always slide the scope front a little them let it spring back. JUST to make sure.
