The Whites of West Virginia - Anybody Seen It? - The Firearms Forum

Meaning a family named White that live in West Virginia. This is a film produced by the same folks that do the Jackass series. I'm not a big Johnny Knoxville fan by any means but once I started watching this movie I sat through it all. The wife put it in our Netflix queue because I made her move to East Texas.

Based solely on that trailer, I just got one thing running through my mind.

Why in the world would anybody want to watch a movie about po' white trash?

These folks are extreme white trash. The reason I got fascinated is that they are so much like some of my relatives on my mother's side. Hardin County, Texas. One cousin cut his brother-in-laws throat while he was driving down the highway and another cousin (sister of above) shotgunned her second husband to death when he stopped to pee on the side of the road.

Stone, Sir, you have an extremely dysfunctional family. How have you managed to survive? At least they keep you entertained trying to figure out what they will do next. Tell me you wear a threat level III when visiting at family get togethers.

It shows on Showtime every once and awhile...............that is a wild bunch.

I watched it purely because I have to remind myself occasionally how sheltered a life I live. Heck, I even go to WalMart once or twice a year and get the same effect.

Really, don't you watch the news in disbelief sometimes and think, "I didn't know people like that existed?..."

If you can't get this movie at least do a search on Youtube and watch some clips of Jesco White's PBS documentary from the early 80's... Simply amazing...

Yeah I've seen it and my reaction to it was to buy more ammo, when the .gov gravytrain ends these types are going to be a problem.
