There was an elderly church deacon who had to have all his teeth pulled and new dentures made.

The first Sunday, he only preached for two minutes.

The second Sunday, he preached for five minutes.

On the third Sunday, he preached for almost two hours.

When the Pastor asked why he spoke so long, he replied "Father, the first Sunday my gums were too sore to talk. The second Sunday my dentures were still hurting a lot. The third Sunday I accidently grabbed my wife's dentures.....and I couldn't shut up!"
