Any help on an antique vase?
This was my Great Grandmothers vase which was handed down to me 20 years ago... I know absolutely nothing about it and wonder if it is valuable. It sits in a closet because it isan't my style, so I wouldn't mind selling it, if it is worth anything.
I really don't know where else to go in order to get information about it. TIA Guys

it may be just me but I don't think the "made in Brazil" looks like it was something done in 1749.

research it bc you may be surprised at what its worth! roseville, hull & a few others can run up into the hundreds.
its been a few yrs since i kept up w/ that stuff though... & i have no idea what anything would be worth in this economy.

Can't help with the value, but if you find that it's not worth much, I'm thinking fill it with Jello and.. well you get the idea.

The "1749" is the mold number. The "Made in Brazil" puts it sometime after 1920 as that's when the U.S. required all ceramic imports to be marked with the "Made In" + the country of origin in English. The country of origin (without the "Made In") was required after around 1892, but it could be in the country's language. Example: "Nippon", later replaced by "Japan"

ok feedback from here Brazilian "slip ware" , hand painted from the 1920's mold number and all the above stated is correct , very common not a lot of value and hundreds of thousands made and exported ..

My best friend suggested that I save it for only 10 more years, fill it with flowers and give it to Mattison on her 16 birthday and at that time it will become priceless...
