I carried a Model 15 Combat Masterpiece during the Viet Nam Era, I'd like to buy one today and was wondering what a fair price would be for a used one in good condition?

Around 400 would be fair for one with light use.

John, what I have seen at the gun shows here in Ohio a nice Model 15 is going to be more like $500. They are great revolvers and I hope you find one. Put the word out over at Barnes Guns, 515 N. High St. there in Lancaster. Keep checking with them by phone, 740 654 4867 as their inventory changes every week. If you haven't been in there it is a great old time gun shop with some good old boys that like to gab.
And welcome to the forum.

I was in there today and they have one for $480, I just wondered if that was good. Jack usually gives me the truth and doesn't try to break the bank. Thank you for the info.

That's what they are going for around here. I see people in other parts of the country getting Smiths a little cheaper than they go for in these parts. You know the Model 67 is the same revolver but in stainless.

About 2 years ago i bought one here in Pa. for $265 in mint condition, the dealer had gotten in about 5 or 6 of them, they all sold out in about a day or two, great guns.
All the beautiful old revolvers are going way up in price because there are a lot of people out there like me who collects them. |
