Default 22 cal. unknowen revolver

im trying to rebuild a 7 shot 22 cal. revolver but cant find and information on it. the only markings i can find is "CHALLENGE" on the top of the barrel and "181" stamped on the lower part of the handle under the grip. iv searched every where and all i can come up with is that it looks like a hopkins and allen. its in peices and im needing parts (only a few spings i think). i will try to get a picture uploaded asap. please let me know if this revolver sounds like anything you know. thank you for your time.

This isn't going to help you much, only listing I found for the name Challenge is " a Trade name found on inexpensive revolvers from an unknown manufacturer ". Pictures might help, perhaps someone can recognise the frame.

Kind of looks like a revoler made by Hopkins & Allen Firearms of Norwich, Ct. They manufactured firearms from 1868 to 1915 and were one of the largest producers of suicide specials. Revolvers manufactured under lots of names including "CHALLENGE".

These revolvers are not safe to shoot with modern ammo, black powder only.
It's a wall hanger.

The best I can come up with is Cornell Publications. Hopefully some other knowledgeable people will post.

It is almost certainly a Hopkins & Allen product. The springs and pins are easily made.
