First, Just to confirm, is that the serial number under the left grip??? The serial number and any letters there are what matters. To Pistol Preacher, US Revolvers are old Iver Johnson's

RJay - Your message implies that U.S. Revolver guns were updated at the same time Iver Johnson changed the design of their revolvers. That is not true. Iver Johnson never updated the U.S. Revolver design to accomodate smokeless powder for the simple reason they had a huge stock of IJ black powder components on hand and they assembled guns with those parts and continued to sell U.S. Revolver. When they ran out of surplus IJ black powder components they discontinued the U.S. Revolver brand. ALL U.S. Revolver guns are designed for black powder cartridges and pose a real risk if fired using modern ammo.

Your saying that they used left over parts for 22 years. 1911 until 1933? That is a lot of left over parts isn't it?
