Hey guys,
Just joined, anyway I wanted a "knock around gun" for hiking, hunting, general truck gun. Did a lot of reading and bought a Rock FS tac. Love it! She is not as pretty as my other guns but it shoots just as good. I have no issues with fit or finish. It eats what ever I put in it. The only thing I would change is the sights. Not bad, I just prefer a three dot sight. They are a little hard to see in low light. |

My ATI came with the exact same mag, I haven't put that many rounds through it but it hasn't missed a feed yet........

I bought four Chip McCormick's to try out. These are nice mags. I will be getting more of them.

Welcome to the forum, Ryan. You have come to a great place, fun to browse around and full of excellent advice freely given, good disussions and a some good laughs.
Sounds like you have a good gun there. Others will comment on it too, I'm sure. |

I have a 9mm that looks exactly like your pistol. Decent finish and that nice Philippine wood. Mine is astonishly accurate. The only downside I have experienced is that it does not like hollow point ammo.

Mine eats whatever you feed it but my pet loads are going to be 230 grain SWC's. The grips were too fat for my liking. I went with Pachmayr's for a little while but I just like the feel of wood so much better. Those Chip McCormick mags are top notch. Not cheap feeling like the ACT and best of all no bumper.

Never used a Wilson Combat but I'd say the Wilson's are a cut above. Mine work with anything you put in them and they're much better feeling than the ACT. They look and feel more like a Colt mag. They can't be disassembled is the only drawback I can see. I would imagine the Wilson's have a better finish also but for the price they're top notch in function and reliability.
The floor plate is drilled if you wish to put bumpers on them. Personally I can't stand bumpers. ![]() Last edited by Hawg; 02-14-2012 at 09:55 AM.. |

I use wilson combats mostly but mccormics are my second choice. I know metalform makes good mags too but I just always go with wilsons because they have never let me down.

I looked at Wilson's but for the price of one I could get two of these.

Metalform is another brand I would give good reviews on
