Default Re: Countersniper scopes???

I wasn't aware that I made any personal attacks. I came to the forum to defend my position and bring to light some misleadings by jack404. I never talked to him, then he said I was the same person as Rory. Said I do this on 6 different forums, implied that I was not a Marine.

So was that directed at me or at Jack?

Let's see -

You joined yesterday, and are attacking one of our moderators who was serving his country when you were a glint in your daddy's eye -

Who do you expect us to believe?

And I checked your ISP -
The one you list is NOT the one you joined or posted under.

The forum owner invited you to post about the discussion, or be on your way.

Looks to me like you need a little boost -

Goodbye -

192.168.5.23 is a non routable internal address

all 192.168.xxx.xxx address's are internal same as 10.xx.xx.xx

these two configurations are reserved and unroutable via the internet

his gateway address was where i got the details from , then that changed and used the NAT function on his firewall ( Network address translation ) to go from the real 124.71.241.98 address to the internal only 192.168.xxx.xxx class address

http://tldp.org/HOWTO/IP-Masquerade-...g-the-lan.html

this document is correct with 2 exceptions in the USA the 172 class address is reserved for inter government data transfers and is technically banned from private use while in the UK the 10 class address ( internal ) is used for gov systems

but in practise few folks worry about internal addresses as they are / internal only ..

Yeah, the IP thing was a real kicker, Jack -

I just can'f figure some folks out.

I could write PAGES about all the things that went wrong with the 1972 Ford F-100 pickup we bought new in 1972.
I could wrote more pages about the dealings we had with Ford trying to get them to FIX the DOZENS of problems we had while it was UNDER WARANTEE.
I could describe how after 13 years we finally dumped it as a completely worn out rusted through piece of JUNK with barely 60,000 miles on it.
I can give these extremely valid reasons for the fact that I would not own another Ford if someone GAVE it to me.

BUT -

I would not get MAD at folks that have had good luck with Fords, and would drive nothing else - my gosh, we are all DIFFERENT. What a BORING world this would be if everyone had the exact same taste and preferences for all things!

see this brand thing , its like religion , arguing wrights and wrongs are pointless , nothing is perfect , fix whats wrong instead

i forget the info i got but it wasn't hard to get from the companies

i'm a leo and Zeiss fan , got 20 grand of glass here

but most of the folks i do work for cant afford that ( i couldn't either but...)

so i look for mid dollar scopes for folks

top of the list bushnell ( pricey )

then these cause they are relatively Cheap

i dunno how long they'll last , i've had mine 2 months no issues on 3 rifles so far

but i'd not throw them on a .22-303 or .450 rigby , even 30-06 might be a stretch long term for these , cause recoil takes its toll on optic's

but for your 10-15 weekend a year hunter with a .223 or .308

the price for the view aint bad

there a few more , some because of service issues here in OZ not because they are worse , folks ask me why i dont buy baretta here ( i'm a B fan too L92's) the agents here do nothing ... thats why its a different world here

but in the USA you have a way bigger selection too so there are probably better choice, same view $30 cheaper maybe , i dunno

i know of 9 here , no problems i can only speak of these

if anyone has a issue with any gun item , return to the vendor and as to fix or replace if not refund , as is your right , heck your in the USA , try not being and having hassles , get a few calls happening to the BBB or what ever and thing generally get sorted from what i see

but going forum to forum slamming them , and attacking anyone who thinks they are ok .. i smell a rat , at first i wondered if it was one of these counter ad campaign in social media extended to here , but when i checked the IP's is came down to 2 US providers , these social campaigners are all in asia

i think we have the real story now though

he and his mate have been hitting , the various forums

when i first asked what who when what etc , i was told it was his friends rifle

as the IP traces are a bit far for local ( same state ) friends i smelled BS but was wrong

his story matches , his mates a couple states away and they are friends online ,

i;ve confused this guy with the original antagonist a bit .. mea culpa there..

so his story as to who is ok , i just cant understand why they cant get it fixed like other folks if theres a problem

i mean half the effort of what they've put in just here would have it repaired or refunded if theres a hassle

in the end i hope he get's it fixed , and learns a little manners along the way
