For 20 years I`ve been saying that someday I would get a S&W model 10. But always put it off thinking that they were common as dirt and I could pick one up anytime.
But when I saw this one I couldn`t pass it by. Nickel model 10-5 from 1973. Doubt it has had a full box of ammo fired through it. ![]() ![]()

I love the Smith 10s. It is my opinion they are among the best shooting S&W revolvers ever produced, second only to the 586.

I'm not a S&W fan but this one is very nice.

CONGRATULATIONS! That is one fine looking shooting iron you have found yourself the owner of. I think I am a little jealous. |

I had a chance at one of them in the 90's back when they were comming in as police trade ins cheap. This on was also nickel and From the mid 50's and like new for $150 and I passed it up, regretted it ever since. you did the right thing, you will not regret getting it. the 19 snubbie was a nice grab too.

Nice S&W revolver and to find one in that good of shape, it's a great find.
Congrat's!
