Default CZ rifles

I have a 527 Varmint .204 Ruger form which I removed the stock, trigger guard, floor plate and clip, then made it into a single shot an a custom stock. I am interested in selling the new take-off stock, trigger guard with floor plate and clip for $100 + shipping. Also I have a 452-2E .22 with the beechwood stock (but with grip checkering). I am interested in rebarreling to .17 Mach 2. and restocking . If anyone knows where I can get a .17 take-off CZ barrel or other .17 barrel, I would appreciate the info. I suppose I might be able to just trade the .22 454 for a .17 452 at a gun show, etc. Tom

The only CZ rimfire that you can change barrels on easily would be a CZ 455. The 452 barrels are not easy to remove from what I have read The CZ 452 and 453 have been discontinued so if you want a new one better be looking, they are getting harder to find by the day.

Thanks, I wonder why they would discontinue these great guns.

They are being replaced by the 455. The 455 is supposed to be easier to mfg. which will help keep the costs down. The jury is still out as to whether it is as good as the 452 and 453. I have 5 of the 452's and recently got a 455 but had to send it back for a recrown. After the recrown it seem to shoot as good as the 452's

I'm having the same problem with my 455. I can get better groups with my 10-22! I took it to a local trusted gunsmith last night and looked at the crown with a lighted magnifier. Not good. I don't want to send it back so
i just asked him to give it a good target crown. This guy knows his stuff. It should be ready by the weekend. Still love the 455 though.

I finally had a chance to shoot my 455 today. I still need to do some work on the trigger and make the sear adjustable, but it shot OK for the first time with the recrown. 50yd, 5 shot groups Wolf MT. The scope is a Simmons 6.5-20x40

I made a different stock for it so it would ride a rest better.

Some pretty good groups. What ammo did you use and what scope do you have mounted?
