Well you kinda answered your own question, fixed grips are not replaceable. Your stuck with what you got unless you use a wrap around rubber grip for a 1911. The 22/45 has the same grip frame as a 1911 but you would have to tap the frame for grip bushings for a 1911. You will destroy the value of the gun. You also have to be careful to not install them too close to the sear pin.

If you have the non-removable grip model you have three choices
1. Slip on grip glove by Hogue http://www.hoguestore.com/index.php?...roducts_id=146 2. Custom made grips that fit over and around your built in grips made by Dominic.Notaro@csinet.net 3. Grind off your built in grips and install 1911 grip bushings or have someone do it for you. http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums...d.php?t=380699 I tried #2 and then did #3 to my 22/45 and it made a huge improvement in the grip and handling. |
