Shotgun restoration finally finished! It took awhile but here are some pics. Let me know what you think! WesternField 565. It took good bit of time but I lacked the resources and experience needed to make it a speedy job.

You brought it a long ways, looks great!
What finish did you use on the barrel/receiver? EDIT, the pics are a bit grainy on my end.

I parkerized the parts with a Manganese Phosphate solution to give it a darker grey tint.
I used a friends sandblasters and thought the blasting material was fine but in fact it was course, so when I stripped the parts to bare metal, it was a little on the rough side, which I wasnt happy with. But I think it still turned out very nicely for my first try. |

Looks great! I have the same disease. I spend $1000 worth of work restoring a gun that's worth $250 in the end. Driven to it, unable to help myself, but it's fun, time well spent.
