winchester model 62
have model 62 , 22 cal winchester that wont lock closed when slide is pushed forward. please help.

There is too many reasons why it won't lock. Not something I would like to troubleshoot over a forum

Agree with Helix. Don't shoot it. Have a professional gunsmith (NOT a kitchen-table parts swapper) look at it. If there are no professional gunsmiths in your area, contact either Helix or myself by private message.
