Default Suomi kp31 build

I found a parts kit, and was wondering how hard these kits are to build and register

No new machine-guns can be made and registered; all current transferable machine-guns were made prior to May 19, 1986..there are however semi-auto plans, these require extensive machining skills, welding skills and fabrication skills...

I was also under the impression that these kits were legal for an individual to build because they were'nt new guns.

If you are talking about Sons of Guns; they are manufacturers, manufacturers can make "dealer samples" , these can not be sold to the public. Again, the only machine-guns that can be transferred to private citizens are those made prior to May 19, 1986.

Check cost of buying a ready made semi auto Suomi kp31 by TNW. The last I checked they sold for less than $500.00, which is not a bad deal at all.

Default Re: Suomi kp31 Numbers

I recently purchased two KP-31 kits. I am interested in the serial numbers and the date that the two could have been built and by whom.

The numbers are 54317 and 36880.

Can anyone help me on this?

Thank you.
