The paint ball is a great idea, I can't beleive I forgot it. I normally use it at 50 yds with my 10/22. Get a poster board and glue them. One word of advice start from the bottom and go up. First time I tried it I started with the top row, by the time I got to the middle I could not exactly see where they were...who knew gravity would have that affect on paint.

howlin,
trick with tannerite and slower rounds while the mix is fluid pour into a shallow steel plate i took some cuts outta some flat steel 1/2" plate and bent the edge up till they met and i welded em closed as the mold then lean against a tree or something the bullet will compress the tannerite between itself and the plate and go off i'm told this dont work with the bottle mix tannerite from some places .. i dunno i have always made my own Last edited by jack404; 04-17-2012 at 11:15 PM.. |

Thanks for that Jack. I've only ever shot at the store bought ones. I have thought about making my own, I just realized I have the aluminum and 34-0-0 fertilizer in the shed.

i use methyl alcohol to get the nitrate to slurry
but do so only if you know it wont get bumped , knocked , or even rattled while it set's , once set its safe as but you can set it off with tossing a jar of it while its setting i know this first hand .. tossed a jar of it at a cat after when i first got the geese .. i'm forever grateful it was a plastic jar and not glass or something ... oh and use hollow points even on .22's this works well Last edited by jack404; 04-18-2012 at 12:08 AM.. |
