it still looks like it was made by the Teletubbies. but that's fine if you swing that way, just don't approach me or my family with ill intent

I have to say that I liked it better with the Barney look.

Is that because you are not a BSU fan?

I will tell you why I painted it BSU colors, aside from my wife and I are fans.

My father in law passed away and he was retired Air Force along with his son. So I recieved the press as a rust bucket pretty much. I waited to do something with it for about 3+ years so my wife and her family would be over the loss of their father. So when I decided to paint it I tried to think of something that would be honoring to him and the family. The whole family is BSU all the way and so this is what I came up with. I will be taking it for my mother in law to see on mothers day and I am sure the whole family will have a tear in their eye.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

That's thoughtful. It can be an ongoing reminder of your father in law, and your wife's family can see that you don't forget him. That says a whole lot to me and it's all good.

If I would have left his press Barney purple,,, well let me just remind you he was a military man. Not good!

Good luck with the unveiling to the family Highboy. Sounds like it will be a touching moment. If you unveil while eating your Edy's Thin Mint like you did in your photos, the tears will be those of mirth rather than sadness!

I like it!

My brother gave me that same press about 10 years ago, it's been sitting under my reloading bench all those years......not in terrible condition, but a bit rusty.

I think I'll follow your lead and clean mine up, but I won't be painting it plum crazy purple......
