This is not only the least expensive 1911 I have ever owned, it is the best

1911 I have ever owned! Fit and finish, tight, reliable and very accurate!

nice. american tactical has spiffed up the line a bit it seems. I bought one about 6 years back and it was on par with a run of the mill Armscor.

Actually it was made by a new, 2 year old company in the Phillipines

called Metro Arms. Separate company than ATI, Rock Island or Armscor.

OK, so after owning the S&W E series commander for a year, I have wanted a full size. I found a barely used one. This one has the crimson trace laser grips and I bought a set of E series grips to change to when I want a change. Sam, no need to look further, its stainless. But let me tell you something, it is a tac driving machine!! I own 14 1911s and some are colts, smiths, sigs, several phillipine and right out of the box this gun will out shoot them all. Wow, I am impressed. People dont like the external extractors. Smith redesigned theirs last year and they will flat sling some brass. I like this gun. I really like the commander too.

Can't afford anything fancy but, I was offered this Citadel in trade for my Norinco SKS that I paid 250$ for at an estate auction. Shoots fine - I figure I got the better end of the trade

The citadel is a good gun and shoots well. You should get plenty of use from it. I have a nickel version and I like it alot.

Here she is with her other shoes on. I like the factory E series grips on this gun.
I also like the stupid warning stickers gone off the side of the slide. I ran another hundred thru her today without one single hint of a hickup and like I say, she is a keeper for sure. I am glad I bought this gun.

I watched that video and it appears to me that you or whoever it is shooting that pistol, is raising their arms up further after the recoil stops. Why is that? Just an observation.

That gun was all over the place when it was fired. It looked like the left hand was there for show. Lots of bobbling going on there.

He just needs some proper shooting instruction. And leave the skull mask at home. It helps if you can see the target clearly, as well as your peripheral.

Recoil owns you man. Look into the combat focus shooting program by rob pincus. The NRA was issuing them to members a while back. Learn to control your handguns like he teaches in the video series and take a proper stance. feet shoulders width apart, square to the target, knees slightly bent and lean toward the target. That alone will work wonders with your recoil control and follow up.

I ran across this rock island tactical and I will say its a good looking pistol. I might be interested in one of these. For the money, I dont think you could go wrong. It has many of the same features as the remington enhanced except it has the rail which I am not a fan of, but for 200 bucks less its not a bad pistol.
