Conservative news site The Daily Caller is gearing up for the presidential by giving away one free handgun each week until Nov. 6. Readers can enter to win one of the American-made 9mm guns—which come in three different colors and are engraved with the Bill of Rights—simply by signing up for the D.C.'s morning updates. Media Matters points out that the gun's manufacturer has argued that liberals are pushing for a communist America and that "people calling for secession" are not "fanatics who hate America" but are defending "the Founding tradition."

That makes sense, since it is a new contest each week. Looks like a Glock/Springfield/Sigma wannabe, to me, though. Not a real gun.

A contest to win a new 9mm sounds cool. I don't think you could ever own too many guns. But some of the post sounds odd. While I have heard the old b.s. propaganda about liberals wanting America to be communist, I had no idea that we have "people calling for secession" in the U.S. That's way over the edge.

The school system here still has the summer free lunch program for anyone, no paperwork, no requirements. Any school age child can at least get a lunch meal in the summer. We are so blessed here in the city of progress.
