Default Venezuela bans private gun ownership

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-18288430

Quote:
Venezuela has brought a new gun law into effect which bans the commercial sale of firearms and ammunition.

Until now, anyone with a gun permit could buy arms from a private company.

Under the new law, only the army, police and certain groups like security companies will be able to buy arms from the state-owned weapons manufacturer and importer.

The ban is the latest attempt by the government to improve security and cut crime ahead of elections in October
Yeah, that has always worked well in the past. Or is it because they don't want their subjects fighting back if they dispute the election?

These government stooges have all been exposed. Nobody is buying their "crime-fighting excuse" anymore. Americans are buying firearms in record numbers. Ruger can't keep up with new orders, neither can Smith and Wesson. Check those stock prices. EAT THAT GOVERNMENT STOOGES.

It will be easier to confiscate private land now!! A large number of private ranches have been taken over by the government, but you don't hear much about that. A lot of the weathy people there are being forced off of thier ranches and having to move to other places. Chaves (sp) is odumer's hero!

The proclamation sounds like a quote from the UN's arms treaty. bHo has requested they leave room for his signature near the top.
