Default Red Dot Forehead Indian refuses service to soilder in uniform

I have heard about this going on for about 2 months now. It is happening in many parishes, but today one crossed the wrong sob in bogalousa.

A diaper head refused service to a US militay soilder at a Texaco gas station. She said we dont serve your kind here.

BOGALUSA, La. -
Dozens of protesters gathered outside a gas station near Bogalusa on Thursday to voice their outrage over what they consider an insult to Americans in uniform. Exactly what happened to spark the furor isn't clear.

The protest followed a fast-moving campaign on social media that spread the word about a member of the National Guard who was reportedly refused service at the station. The Washington Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed that some sort of dispute did take place, but did not have details and no report was filed.

By late afternoon, a crowd of about two dozen people -- some with signs, others with flags -- had formed at the Texaco station. It doubled in size as dusk approached.

Deputies from the sheriff's office kept watch over the situation, which remained orderly.

WDSU spoke with Chris Carnegie, a witness to the original incident. He said he saw a man in uniform turned away when he attempted to make a purchase this past weekend.

He told a few people what he saw, and the story began to spread. On Thursday, the outrage really took off.

"This store hates America and our troops," read one poster being displayed just off the station's property. "Honk for our troops," said another.

When the crowd grew, the station closed down for the day.

WDSU attempted to reach the owner of the station and convenience store and spoke with a woman who, in broken English, said the incident was all a misunderstanding. She said the station does not refuse service to anybody.

The woman -- who identified herself as an ethnic Indian -- did not want to appear on camera.

it happens all over , 2001 NC (USA) i and some other aussies where visiting your folks before heading off to play , we took a drive to a local outfitters to get some gear and stopped for drinks and fuel and got chased off by the muslim who knew we where australians from our uniforms and spouted crap about indonesia and timor and our invasion of muslim lands ( timor which indonesia invaded in 72)

he'd a been triple ticked if he knew where we where headin

it happens today here , mind you not so much since a few stored been wiped out ..

but its all part of the learning experience ...

learn that folks that disrespect those in their adopted nations either fit in or need to move out , back where they came from , colour race or creed is not real determiner

its if they respect where they are at that matters ..

if they fit in , fine , if not , dont waste time , toss em back ..

This is unusual for red-dot Indians.
I have been treated like crap by feather indians when trying to buy gas or supplies on the rez, but that was anti-white-eyes, not anti-American. And I bear them no ill-will for that sentiment; the invading Europeans treated them like crap, and frankly we have it comming.

But the red-dot Indians I have dealt with have always been very decent folks to deal with who were in the process of embracing the American culture.
We stayed at a Motel in IL some years ago that was operated by a red-dot Indian couple. We were in the lobby talking to her and kootchie-kooing the newborn baby she was holding when her husband got a phone call. The conversation was not in English, but we figured it out from her reaction; some of their family had called to express sympathy that their baby was a girl instead of a boy, and he was apparently agreeing with them.
She went OFF on him!
Speaking English, she started screaming at him:
"This is AMERICA, not India!
"Our daughter is not going to be raised thinking she is a second class citizen!
"Our daughter is an AMERICAN, and she can do anything she wants to do, and you will NOT raise her to think anything else!!"

By now, he had exited the lobby and was RUNNING to get out of her reach - and she was right on his heels, continuing to scream at him!

Very pro American.
It made me proud -

Simular experience here also. When we visit my SIL we stay at a little motel in Feriday, LA, that is run by some folks from India, and they have been really good to us. They know us now as regulars. The entire back yard is planted in vegetables, and I was given the grand tour by the owners. Out front they have the entire 1/2 acre island planted in turnip greens! They are hard workers, and very nice people. I hope the incident in Bogalusa was all a mistake, but if it wasn't those folks need to go back home, where their sentiments will be welcome. Once this was a Hindu religious symbol, but has been adopted my Muslim women as make up. If a man is wearing the dot, then it is not for make up, but a part of his Hindu religion.

That is just so much crap, for two completely different reasons.

In every country in the world, throughout history, when it was invaded, either everyone that lived there was killed, so make room for the invaders, or everyone that lived there was made a slave. EVERY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, THROUGHOUT HISTORY. Except this one. Yes, the Spanish enslaved 'em. But the Spanish didn't end up with this country, the English did. Yes, in some spot around the country entire tribes were killed. But as a general rule, death and slavery were not "official policy" with the Indians. When the Navajo fought the Hopi, and the Hopi lost, the Navajo killed 'em all, except the ones they kept for slaves. Same thing happened with every other Indian tribe. Were they peaceful tree-hugging nature's children, when the evil white man came. No, they were vicious stone-age savages fighting and murdering and enslaving each other. So, they lost the war. They got stuck on crappy pieces of land that nobody else wanted, and then if somebody decided they did want it, it was taken away and they were moved again. So? Are they extinct? Or are they still alive? What we did was not nice, in 20th Century terms, but it was a lot better than what man has done throughout history, and a lot better than what they themselves did to other tribes they fought with.

Second reason that statement is full of it. If we, now, are responsible for what our ancestors did 400 years ago, so they, now, have the moral right to treat us like crap, then we, now, are responsible for what our ancestors did to blacks, 400 years ago, and they, now, have the moral right to hate us and demand that we pay them reparations. Just like Leroy Green was never a slave, and no one in this country ever held slaves, so we don't owe Leroy jack, Frank Screaming Eagle never owned the island of Manhattan, and no one in this country ever massacred a village and stole Indian land. We don't owe them jack.

You know, as a heterosexual male, I can be dissapointed that more than
10% of the population is male. These other cultures are obviously pink
tutu wearing, in the closet 'mo's. That my opinion anyhow.

I was proud to work with two men who emigrated from India to the US. Both worked very hard and earned their US citizenship, and are productive members of society today. I have never witnessed any incident like described, and hope I never do, might cause me to act in a somewhat irritated manner. Of course my uniformed time was between major wars, and nobody really gave a bump what off duty sailors were doing as long as we spent money doing it.

I have noticed over the past couple of years that the type/quality of Indians coming here has been changing, along with their attitudes. While as a majority the population is very friendly and wants to assimilate in, there are noticeably more that are anti-US, but not anti enough to keep them from cashing in on us.

But I guess when you have a gubment that wants to be the worlds teat to be sucked dry that it is to be expected.

I have heard that the first thing you smell when you exit the plane in their country is the smell of burning dung. Coming from such an existance as that, it seems they would show some appreciation for being allowed into the free world. Greedy folks.

No, the red dot is not a religious symbol as is currently believed. A group of people went to India to study the phenomena. This is their findings. The culture has a dowry system. The red dot actually works very much like a scratch off ticket. When a couple marries, on the wedding night the groom takes a quarter and scratches off the red dot. Underneath he discovers his dowry. He gets either a Yellow cab Taxi, A convenience store, or a Ramada Inn. These are located in the USA.

It might not be true, it's just what I heard

What I don't understand is ,the red dot is usually worn by Hindus. My understanding is that it represents the third eye, which looks inward.Search for the answer within yourself. Hindus and muslims don't get along well, so why would these people not like our soldiers? We don't have any animosity with Hindus that I'm aware of. I don't get it. There has to be more to the story. This isn't a muslim/American thing.

If ever a person was ill informed about the history of the land they live in, that statement is way over the top:

Quote:
The Wounded Knee Massacre happened on December 29, 1890,[1] near Wounded Knee Creek (Lakota: Čhaŋkpé Ópi Wakpála) on the Lakota Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, USA. On the day before, a detachment of the U.S. 7th Cavalry Regiment commanded by Major Samuel M. Whitside intercepted Spotted Elk's band of Miniconjou Lakota and 38 Hunkpapa Lakota near Porcupine Butte and escorted them 5 miles westward (8 km) to Wounded Knee Creek where they made camp.

The rest of the 7th Cavalry Regiment arrived led by Colonel James Forsyth and surrounded the encampment supported by four Hotchkiss guns.[2]

On the morning of December 29, the troops went into the camp to disarm the Lakota. One version of events claims that during the process of disarming the Lakota, a deaf tribesman named Black Coyote was reluctant to give up his rifle, claiming he had paid a lot for it.[3] A scuffle over Black Coyote's rifle escalated and a shot was fired which resulted in the 7th Cavalry's opening fire indiscriminately from all sides, killing men, women, and children, as well as some of their own fellow troopers. Those few Lakota warriors who still had weapons began shooting back at the attacking troopers, who quickly suppressed the Lakota fire. The surviving Lakota fled, but U.S. cavalrymen pursued and killed many who were unarmed.

By the time it was over, at least 150 men, women, and children of the Lakota Sioux had been killed and 51 wounded (4 men, 47 women and children, some of whom died later); some estimates placed the number of dead at 300. Twenty-five troopers also died, and 39 were wounded (6 of the wounded would later die).[4] It is believed that many were the victims of friendly fire, as the shooting took place at close range in chaotic conditions. At least twenty troopers were awarded the coveted Congressional Medal of Honor[5]

The site has been designated a National Historic Landmark.[1]
This slaughter was the end result of one Indians interpretation of a dream he had foretelling of better times. A prophecy. The prophecy spread to other Indian tribes in the form of The Ghost Dance.

His dream, as recorded, went like this as related to Sitting Bull:

Quote:
The next spring, when the grass was high, the earth would be covered with new soil and bury all the white men. The new soil would be covered with sweet grass, running water and trees and the great herds of buffalo and wild horses would return. All Indians who danced the Ghost Dance would be taken up into the air and suspended there while the new earth was being laid down. Then they would be returned to the earth along with the ghosts of their ancestors.
As a result of his dream, the 300 plus Indians were massacred.

Quote:
no one in this country ever massacred a village and stole Indian land
I live in Florida. Former owners, in part, were the Seminoles. Have any idea what happened to them when they tried to hold on to their land? I'll leave that research to anybody interested. But, I can tell you they didn't pack up and leave when ordered to.

The atrocities against the original OWNERS of this country is well documented.

Some muslim women form that part of the world think it's cute, and they have adapted the red dot as a form of make up.

Raven, if you would read the whole paragraph, and not take stuff out of context.

Is there one single person still alive who took part in the Wounded Knee? No? So, I repeat, not one single person in this country burned villages and massacred Indians. Yes, it happened. In the past. In history. Not now. Nobody alive today did it. We are not responsible for what people did a hundred years ago. Read what the hell I wrote, and not what you think I'm saying. Works better that way.

Okay, your post was not about today. You didn't speak of living folks.
A bit more clarity would have helped one understand.

Today is as important as any other time in history, when it comes to the treatment of the American Indians.

There's is no known technology available to properly demonstrate how they live in 2012. One has to see it to believe it.

I've seen it. It's disgusting. It's sad.

Whyme, I don't recall quoting your post. I replied to his post based on the information he supplied. If it was not what he meant to say, than I replied properly.

I am not, nor will I ever be, a fan of the blatant racism directed toward a people so many of us claim to have in our family histories.

In my experience "Red Dot" Indians...or people from India are some of the nicest people I have know. But with that being said..........if its true he needs his butt stomped.

On a different note, after 9-11 (or I might should say when 9-11 happened) there was a local Subway/Doughnut/Coffee place in town that had the employees (Muslims) there cheering and crap. This is verified by a close friend that was there. Well needless to say I don't eat there anymore...and that's after they have changed owners several times now. I still foam out of my mouth when I ride by there...and that's extremely mad for me.

If people stop using this place they will move on somewhere else.

Alpo, I respectfully disagree with your statement, "We are not responsible for what people did a hundred years ago." Those Indians that were maligned were today's indian's Great Grand Parents, they are not going to forget and the history it will continue to be forwarded to the next generation. Treaties were broken and that is a legal issue. This nation will right it's wrongs or one day it will cease to exist. IMO
