Strange Orange Lights In The Sky

Ok... I think I have finally gone completely crazy.

My wife and I were sitting out on the deck tonight around 10:30, and two orange balls of light appeared in the sky. They were in the western sky flying from the south to the north at a moderate speed. They were flying fairly low, much bigger than a star, and completely silent. They disappeared over the horizon.

Then about five minutes latter we saw three more going in the same direction. They were spread out over a distance one behind the other at the same elevation. All three of them suddenly stopped in mid air and sat still for at least a minute, and then they started going straight down at the same time. The one on the right and the one on the left simply disappeared. The one in the middle dropped down behind a tree that was perhaps a half mile away, and it just sat there behind the tree for at least three or four minutes. Behind the tree it appeared to glow red, and then it suddenly fizzled out, like some one turned off the power.

Nothing on the news or anything. I guess we must have drunk one two many beers tonight.

i see a few things here but put it down to the base that dont exist where they did not test fly the nighthawk back when etc etc etc ...

We had folks shooting fireworks below our house tonight....maybe they're related!

It was swamp gas reflecting the light from venus off of a weather balloon.

Hopefully, it'll turn out obozos ride is here.

I seen similar sights when I was living in Clearwater. I kept my mouth shut until after I read the paper the next day. Nothing in the paper? Nothing said.

Nothing in the paper, and nothing on the news. I thought about keeping my mouth shut as well, but we saw what we saw. The only thing I can think of would be Chinese lanterns. They did look more like fire balls than lights, but I think the odds of three of them going straight down at the same time is very slim.

Were going to sit out there tonight at about the same time and see if they come back.

Google "Marfa Lights". We have had them in SW Texas for hundreds of years. The native Indians saw them long before white man came along. I've seen them several times when I have gone out there. It's about 150 miles from us.

Wow.. Some of the videos of Marfa Liights look about like what we saw.
