Default If someone tells you that you need an exercise bike..say OK

The electronics gave it up.

After looking around the internet and forums, I decided I needed as shooting bench. After stripping the recumbent bike down this is what I came up with. Had to do a little whittling on the front post. It is very stable.

Here it is with the fold out arm for rifle shooting.

Here it is with the rifle

Any comments or suggestions welcomed.
Thanks for look'in,

Forced myself to ask. What is the Lever looking piece in front of the trigger guard?

It's so nice to have opposing thumbs. Nice work.

Actually that's a Sears Ted Williams 799. AKA a fancy version of the Daisy 880. Sears also sold a plain-jane 799 that looks identical to the regular 880.

I've still got my old Daisy 880 sitting in the shop down at the farm. The seals are pretty well hammered out but it'll still push a pellet out 200-250fps, which is enough to knock down a mouse or bird if we can't get em chased out the doors. An 880 in good shape will beat the pants off of any of the Crosman 760 variants.

Back to the bench...
Nice job of reworking some junk into something useful!!!

Killer looking BB Gun. I've got the shoot-your-eye-out Red Ryder, for the squirrels that drive my dogs nut in the back yard.
