Are there any 3/4 inch diameter tube scopes for use on 22 that have a variable power range over/beyond a 2 x 7 or 2 x 8 ?
I know that several of the recently produced 22 scopes had a range of 2 x 7 and I know that most of the more vintage 22 scopes had a range of 2 x 6 but I am wondering if there is anything that has been produced recently or that is vintage that had a higher upper power than 8X, I am only interested in 3/4" diameter tube scopes - NOT 1 inch or 30mm. Thanks.

Thanks for your response but I believe that the one you listed is a 1 inch tubed scope and not a 3/4 inch tube. I am ONLY interested in 3/4" tubed scopes. |

I have seen those for sale in Walmart for about $20 but I have never seen a 3 x 9 in 3/4" tube version there. Thanks. |

too bad you're looking for a variable because I have a Bushnell 4X that's been in a drawer for 30 years I'd let go cheap

I don't like those THIN crosshairs on the older/wintage Weaver, etc. scopes. I want something (30/30) that these old eyes can see a bit better. |

Practically speaking a 19 mm (3/4") tube limits a scope to about 7X max if you want any reasonable degree of brightness.
I have several 25 year old RWS Model 200, 3x7x20mm Japan made scopes with parallax adjustable objectives from 25' to infinity. I rarely dial them above 5X, unless it is a really bright day. A nominal 3/4" tube can carry about only 60% of the Light of a 1" tube. |
