Could you give me some information on this rifle. It has been in my family for longer then I can remember, my daa says that he recieved it from his dad. It is a Winchester model 1894 30-30, s/n #102888 26" octagonal barrel. This gun has been used for each grandsons first year of hunting. The last time it was shot was probably 20 to 25 years ago which was when it was given to me. I have kept it clean and stored. I am looking for age and round about valve for insurance purposes. Thanks for any help.

Hello,
Winchester Model 1894 serial number 102888 was manufactured in December of 1900. Based on what I can see of the graded condition, the value is the $750 - $1000 range. Bert H.
