I just bought a Glock 19 gen 3 - 9mm for CCW purposes.. i don't have a holster for it yet so i thought i would poll Glock users for a good CCW holster.. i don't like the "plastic" holsters... i saw a DeSantis holster for a Glock 17 that i like the looks of but don't know if its made for a Glock 19..
Any info on a good holster would be appreciated.. i want an inside the waistband holster i think... i have scheduled a "defensive pistol course" that requires a strong side holster ..so i guess i have to buy 2 holsters.. one inside - one outside ? tia

though you say you dont like the "plastic" ones, raven concealment systems makes a kickass holster for glocks. it has great retention and conceals great. they also have hooks sold separately that you can use to make it IWB. http://www.ravenconcealment.com/inde...te=common/home
here is a link to the IWB accessories http://www.ravenconcealment.com/acce...ar-accessories plus it all has a lifetime warranty...even if you buy one from someone the warranty transfers to you |

I'm not a big fan of the plastic type holsters either, but..
I found this paddle holster that Fobus makes and I've been giveing it a try for a few days now. The pic might not be all that "descriptive", but I'm begining to like it! It holds my Glock 19 in tight and with the paddle inside my wasteband and the "plastic" out, it works for me well. One thing I did do (as I've had other people to tell me to use a blow dryer to losen it up a bit) is to wipe down the top of my Glock with SBGO and (wipe off the excess) and it'll slide out better than using a blow dryer to "re-shapen" the holster itself.

For an OWB, take a look at the Hume 721OT. It offers nice quality at a reasonable price. For IWB, I like kydex/leather, but if you want all leather, consider High Noon, Simply Rugged and Sparks. I also have a Nick Mathews IWB made for a 1911, which is a nice quality piece of leather.
